That year, he followed his new bride, who had started working as a physician resident at Sinai Hospital, to Baltimore and now serves as a legal assistant for Lebau & Neuworth. In his position, Gandhi is the lead investigator in researching potential matters and opportunities for the firm. He interviews witnesses and takes the lead in document management for the firm’s larger cases, and he is skilled in electronic research and data mining from public records.
Before coming to Lebau & Neuworth, Gandhi appeared as counsel and junior counsel in a variety of civil and commercial disputes before both the subordinate and superior courts of West Malaysia. He also appeared as junior counsel before the High Court sitting at the East Malaysian island of Labuan. His experience includes an apperance as junior counsel in an arbitration dispute before the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) on behalf of a company incorporated in Hong Kong over a project dispute in Indonesia.
In civil matters, Gandhi has advised a wide variety of clients and has appeared in courts for a broad range of matters involving contractual claims, defamation, media law, clubs and unincorporated associations, judicial review, rights of privacy and claims in tort. In commercial matters, he has acted in contested winding-up disputes, bankruptcy and insolvency disputes.
Gandhi earned his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) with honors from University of London and Master of Laws (LL.M) from the University of Malaya, Malaysia. He further holds a Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) from the Legal Profession Qualifying Board of Malaysia.
Gandhi studied Employment Law as part of his LL.M and welcomes the opportunity to expand that knowledge and challenge himself, while putting his past experience to work. He admires and is inspired by Lebau & Neuworth’s serious dedication in championing and safeguarding the interests and rights of individuals and employees – and is determined to do the same.
Gandhi has an unquenchable thirst for traveling and adventures. When time permits, he takes road trips across the United States, seeking out different cultures and learning to appreciate diversity. One of his dearest goals is to learn the rules and play baseball and American football.
