The month of May saw L&N successfully resolve four separate cases all involving claims for owed wages from Maryland employers. Two of the cases are noteworthy because in both cases the offending businesses claimed that they lacked insufficient funds to pay our clients. However, because L&N had also sued the owner/operators of businesses in their individual capacities as allowed under the Maryland Wage Hour Law and the federal Fair Labor Standards Act, our clients had sufficient leverage to get all of the owing wages paid to them (overtime and straight time) and with all attorney fees.
