    Richard Neuworth authored an article that was just recently published in the Journal of the Maryland Association for Justice, Inc., Trial Reporter, Fall 2012. The article titled: "Employer Sponsored Health Insurance Places: New Ideas for Protecting Clients and Fees" provides tips and recommendations in battling employer provided health insurance plans in legal disputes. The article covers important areas under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act ("ERISA") as well as emerging areas of the law, including:

    • fighting against benefit denials
    • hidden charges in coverage, deductibles and other plan benefits
    • misrepresentations to plan participants
    • theft of or failure to use employee wages for benefits
    • penalty provisions under ERISA and COBRA

    Neuworth has been handling disability and employment litigation for nearly thirty (30) years. He has extensive experience in employee benefit, discrimination, workers compensation and social security disability cases. He has successfully represented individuals and groups of employees in significant disability benefit and employee benefit disputes.
