According to a press release recently issued by the Corporate Research Project of Good Jobs First, and Jobs With Justice Education Fund reports that some of the largest employers have been penalized the most for not paying the wages due to their workers. The list in the report “Wage Theft is Pervasive in Corporate America; Big Banks, Insurers are Among Most-Penalized Firms” includes some of the biggest banks and insurance companies.

The study by the Corporate Research Project, a non-profit that assists community, environmental and labor organizations in researching companies and industries, and Jobs With Justice, the only non-profit of its kind leading strategic campaigns and shaping the public discourse on every front to build power for working people, shows that many of the large corporations are repeat offenders and 450  of them have each paid out $1 million or more in settlements and/or judgments.

You can find out if your employer is one of the offenders by checking out the Good Jobs First violation tracker: www.goodjobsfirst.org/violation-tracker.
